Lighting & Atmosphere

   

     

   

 FX Unlimited knows the value of a good light show and how it can affect a crowd and motivate them to dance and have fun.  Therefore, my light show is integrated with my sound system and always included at no extra charge.  It’s an essential element to any FX Unlimited show. There are no add-ons or optional lighting equipment every show I do has the following elements:

• Classic mirror ball effect with the new added twist of a multitude of ever changing color combinations which can be customized for your event theme or colors.
• Standard strobe light.  The classic stop action effect may be used sparingly to enhance the light show at a wedding or going wild during the fast paced dance song set at your high school or all night rave!
• High-tech lights that produce multicolored beams of light that move to the beat of the music and a separate unit that washes the dance floor with different colors.
• Concert style intelligent lights. These are the ultimate in lighting.  You see these lights at concerts and on TV. They produce the different colors and shapes which move about the room. These lights can also be used as spotlights for special presentations or that romantic first dance.  Depending on the size of your venue I may use from two to eight of these lights.  They are the crown jewel in my light show.

    The above elements are standard at all corporate, wedding and adult shows I do.  This is already more than most DJ’s provide and as cool as these lights are I don’t stop there.  Every school dance, teen dance, indoor public dance, or other events with adequate venues will also have these effects. 

 

• Super strobe cannons-these are not your average strobe lights and are only used in large venues and geared to the high energy school crowds. These intelligent strobe fixtures can produce bright or dim effects and long or short duration flashes. They can also simulate lightning and flash in different patterns. These fixtures are 3,500 watts each for a total of 14,000 watts! You can factually feel the heat from these lights as we warm up the dance floor (you may want to bring your swimsuit and work on your tan). 
• Laser lighting-No high energy dance would be complete without Laser lights.  These lasers produce patterns on the floor, wall or ceiling as well as 3D effects in the air.  I use a standard power 4.95 mW laser with the twist of THREE COLORS-RED, GREEN & GOLD! I also use my brighter and more powerful 10mW GREEN laser!  (The most powerful mobile entertainment laser in Kansas!)

All of my lights are computer controlled in the DJ booth and change with every song.

     

    Many DJ’s use fog machines to increase the effectiveness of their lighting.  While I do carry a professional fog machine and use it at some dances I have had much better guest response with a newer technology called a HAZER.  These machines don’t produce the “cloud of smoke” associated with fog machines and they do not activate the fire alarms, even in hotels! Only the newest and best effects for FX Unlimited.
