My music library currently contains well over
16,000 titles all on compact disc,
the most dependable and clearest format available. I carry each and every one of
those songs to ALL of my shows. You will never hear me say “I have it, but I
didn’t bring it with me.” Not only do I have a lot of music, I also carry
one of the widest ranges in the state. From the tunes of the roaring 20s to all
of the newest hits -YES, I’VE GOT MUSIC! Country to Rap and Big Band to
Techno it’s all here.
Its taken me more than 16 years to get my library where it is today.
To
constantly add to my collection, I subscribe to the same professional music
service that radio stations nationwide use. Therefore, I have all of the new
music, the “clean” radio edits and I get it every week well before you can
buy it in the record stores.
Here’s something else you will never hear me say - even joking “I know I have it, its in here somewhere” or “I will try to find your song.” How sad is that for a professional DJ to say? EACH & EVERY song I own is cataloged in my music database and all of my CDs are indexed by number. I carry a laptop computer to all of my shows which makes music access a snap. I can search by artist or group name, song title, or even contains a word if you don’t remember the rest. I can put my hand on any song in my collection in under 6 seconds flat.
