PRICING & RATE INFORMATION
Prices are based on the show location being anywhere in the state of Kansas and are all inclusive. There are no additional fees for mileage, motels, meals, music or "hidden fees" that you may find with some entertainment companies. I do offer some optional services and equipment that are available for a fee.
The appropriate system described in this website is always included. Sound, lighting, music, atmosphere and DJCain's service is what is being hired and paid for. Every client will receive 110% effort and your satisfaction is guaranteed. The factor that makes placing my price online difficult, is that you may be planning an event next week or in five years (I already have shows booked into the year 2010.) I must take into account price changes to cover inflation, cost of living, insurance, and expenses. So the current price may not fit your event being planned for next year or even three years from now. The best and quickest way to get a price quote is to contact me either by email, phone, or quick quote form.
FX Unlimited accepts VISA & MASTERCARD as payment. Deposits can be made by credit card as well as payment in full for your event.

With events being booked so far in advance, availability is one of the first issues to address. You may check my online schedule for events within one year.
Below you will find general information on what my fee includes, standard setup procedure, overtime options, overtime rates and gratuities.
System price is based on a total of five consecutive hours of music which are broken into two categories; background music and dance time. Up to two hours of "background music" with a microphone for customer use and soft instrumental music (directly prior to show time), and three hours of "dance time." Equipment is manned at all times, from the setup time to after your event is over, I will be at your venue. Being at your venue during the background time allows the soft music to be faded down during announcements and the level or type of music to be changed as needed. This presents a more polished and pleasing effect for guests and allows announcements to be heard more clearly. Background music time also includes any announcements you would like made by DJCain.
Standard setup procedure is to arrive two to three hours prior to show time. This allows one hour to carry in and setup the equipment. The second hour (or third) is used to warm up the sound system and prepare for the show. An example of this is a dance starting at 9:00 pm and ending at 12:00 am. I would arrive for setup as early at 6:00 pm. Background music would start at 7:00 pm and the dance at 9:00 pm. This also allows for flexibility should you wish your dance to start a little early, I'm ready! That flexibility is also available should we need to start a little late I will still play for the full three hours.
Additional hours of background music are available at $25.00 per hour. This nominal fee covers sound equipment run time and my additional hours at the venue. These additional hours may be arranged at the time of booking or during the pre-call which is two or three days prior to your event. Each additional hour of background will move setup one hour earlier. With the same example above, if guests were arriving at 6:00pm I would setup at 5:00pm and background music would start at 6:00pm. 6:00 to 7:00 would be $25.00 and 7:00 to 9:00 would be included in the show fee.
Additional hours of dance time are also available at the rate of $60.00 per HALF hour or $120.00 per hour. Again, these additional hours may be arranged at the time of booking, during the pre-call, or even at scheduled end of dance time. If you would like your dance to continue past the scheduled end time just let me know. The rate is the same with pre-booked overtime or when continuing the dance past the scheduled end time. Dance overtime is only available in HALF hour or hour blocks. No prorating for quarters or "one more song" over time.
Tipping is not required or expected (even for parties of 8 or more!) However, mobile entertainment is a service industry where the skills and talent of the entertainer is what clients are paying for. As opposed to purchasing goods or renting equipment. Therefore, if you feel that I have provided exceptional service or performed above your expectations, gratuities are greatly appreciated. As another option, I am also very happy to accept your feedback after your event. Positive or negative, let me know what you thought of my work. I may use positive feedback as a letter of recommendation and I WILL use any negative feedback to change and improve my service. Booking procedure Should you decide to book your event I will send to you an event booking package. This package will contain two copies of my simple single page contract (front side-contract, reverse side-credit card payment information), event questionnaire, music request forms (both forms also available online) and a postage paid return envelope. Also included may be more forms such as vender contact forms or advertising media for public events.
To book your event you will date, print and sign your name on the contract and return it with your deposit (if applicable) in the postage paid return envelope. The contract will be due back on or before the date at the bottom (generally two weeks from being mailed out). The remainder of the forms (questionnaire and request sheet) are due back 2-4 weeks prior to your event.
